Kyle Wallace serves Gault Davison’s clients in our estate planning and business practices. He focuses on personalized estate planning for families and individuals, and helping small businesses set the right foundations to best protect their businesses and scale for growth. He prides himself on bringing a high touch, relationship-based approach to create tailored estate and business plans for his clients, plans that protect his clients, their loved ones, their assets, and their legacies. He is excited and grateful to be able to deploy that approach in serving the community he grew up in.
Kyle’s experience as an in-house corporate counsel gives him the tools needed to spot issues for clients and ensure they have excellent corporate counsel and avoid common pitfalls for small business owners. It also gives him a deeper understanding of his clients’ assets on the estate planning side, helping his clients to monetize assets for their loved ones after death.
Kyle joins Gault Davison’s after spending the last five years working as the General Counsel for a start-up in Denver, CO that worked to reduce chemical loads in food products designed for vulnerable populations, including infants, children, and the elderly.
Originally from Fenton, Kyle attended Michigan State University, where he graduated with Honors, before heading to New Orleans to earn a joint JD and MBA from Tulane University. While in Law School, Kyle developed a passion for helping people while interning with a firm specializing in estate planning and family law. After graduation, Kyle was given the opportunity to work for the Miami Dolphins where he specialized in contract management and personnel evaluation. Off the back of this experience, Kyle was asked to join Ellipse Analytics, a Denver based start-up, where he served as General Counsel, handling all legal and operational matters for the company. During this time, Kyle is proudest of his work helping to pass federal legislation requiring leading baby food manufacturers to reduce heavy metal contamination in their products.
Following these successes and the birth of his daughter, Kyle started looking for opportunities that would allow him to return to Southeast Michigan and spend more time with his growing family, while also positively impacting the lives of the people he serves. In that vein, Kyle is incredibly excited to join Gault Davison and deploy the skills he’s developed over his career in the areas of estate planning and business law, where he is looking forward to developing strong relationships with his clients and directly contributing to creating positive outcomes for their families and businesses.
When he’s not helping clients, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and daughter, out on the roads of Genesee County (be it running or cycling), or mentoring young professionals and college students.
