Gault Davison is pleased to announce that Judge John Gadola is retiring after 22 years as a Genesee County Family Court judge, effective August 14, 2024, to join the firm as a partner in the litigation department.

Judge Gadola is a graduate of MSU and the University of Toledo law school. He had an active litigation practice for ten years before taking the bench in January 2003. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Tom Gadola, who was a Probate Court judge in Genesee County, his grandfather Paul Gadola, who was a Genesee County Circuit Court judge, his uncle Paul Gadola, who was a federal judge in Flint, and his cousin Michael Gadola, who is a Michigan Court of Appeals judge.

Judge Gadola is married and has four daughters. He is an avid runner. He has completed three Ironman triathlons.
