In February 2025, attorney Michael Edmunds successfully defended a lawsuit in which the Plaintiff claimed that the Defendant had assaulted her daughter. The jury did not award any money to the Plaintiff. The case is Poplar v Copeland, and was tried in the Genesee County Circuit Court. Judge Newblatt presided over the trial.
