Gault Davison attorney Michael Edmunds successfully defended an accidental shooting case in Lapeer in May. He represented a farm. The former caretaker of the farm lent a shotgun to his adult son. The son and his friend, the plaintiff, went hunting. When they were done, plaintiff alleged that the son was horsing around when his shotgun went off. Plaintiff was shot from behind. The pellets passed through him and shot off his genitals. The jury awarded approximately $8.5 million to the plaintiff, against the shooter, but nothing against the farm.
